Eucon Shipping and Transport Ltd. is part of the Container & Terminal division of the IRISH CONTINENTAL GROUP,
Ireland’s largest shipping company. Irish Continental Group (ICG) is a leading maritime based transport group. We carry passengers and cars, Roll On / Roll Off freight and Container Lift On Lift Off freight on routes between Ireland, the United Kingdom and Continental Europe.
The container division of ICG provides a short sea door to door service between Ireland and Continental Europe, and dedicated Feeder services to the major deep sea container ports in the UK and Europe. The division operates a fleet of modern container vessels including the largest and fastest ships in the short sea trade, with proven schedule reliability.
Eucon provides a lift on/lift off (Lo Lo) container service between Ireland and the Continent, connecting the Irish ports of Dublin, Cork and Belfast, with the Continental ports of Rotterdam and Antwerp.
We operate from ICG wholly owned container terminals in the ports of Dublin and Belfast, operated by our sister companies, Dublin Ferryport Terminals, (DFT), and Belfast Container Terminals, (BCT), both of whom employ the latest modern and efficient handling machinery and systems.

By sea, road, rail or barge
Our fast direct container service between Rotterdam and Dublin ensures that perishable and urgent consignments reach market in the shortest possible time. Operating between Ireland and Poland in Northern Europe to Italy in the South, Eucon’s door to door container services utilise the excellent European road, rail and inland waterway networks via the hub ports of Rotterdam and Antwerp.
Fleet of over 3,500 pieces of Lo/Lo equipment
Further investment has been placed in providing the latest and most modern CONTAINER EQUIPMENT fleet. Eucon’s equipment fleet offers 20’ Standard, 40’ and 45’ Palletwide containers, as well as a range of specialist equipment, including 45’ Hi-Cube Palletwide Refrigerated containers, Curtainsider containers, and 20’ and 40’ Open Top containers and Flatracks.
